Unfortunately, I do not have all the answers, but I can tell you what NesinFIT is most frequently asked! As the Clinic Director of NesinFIT @ Lincoln Mill, I’ve heard it all and I’ve been asked a myriad of questions. Below is a list of the top questions I receive:
Q: Why? Why is it still hurting?
A: This is a fair question, and there are many factors to consider. How is your posture when standing, sitting, and/or sleeping? All of these things can have a profound impact on your pain. First, we’ll work to correct these and get you moving correctly, and then we’ll work on strengthening. This combination should help decrease your pain.
Q: What makes NesinFIT different?
A: Our approach is what makes us different from your “standard” treatment. Thankfully, Nesin has always been different, and at NesinFIT we think the same way, but we know our audience is different. Ultimately, our goal is to provide rehab, but we also want you to be comfortable exercising, whether that’s in the gym or at home. Yes, we treat higher-level athletes, too, but everything translates. For example, we might be working on how to perform a deadlift, but that technique can also be used when picking up a pile of laundry or performing yard work. It all connects – we promise!
Q: What does treatment at NesinFIT look like?
A: Yes, we want to first correct the mechanical dysfunctions, which often starts in our treatment rooms. Incorrect movement patterns can just be feeding the beast, aka your pain. Then, we’ll support your treatment with exercises in the gym. The gym is where we’ll cover all sorts of things, such as core exercises or even landmine to help strengthen your back or shoulder. Trust me, our team gets creative with our exercises.
