If you're struggling to get motivated on Mondays, try setting a goal for yourself. For example, you could challenge yourself to workout for 30 minutes, eat a healthy lunch, or even get to bed early!

Yes, we’re going there! We often see patients wh Yes, we’re going there! We often see patients who lift weights in a way that can lead to injury. If you’re incorporating front squats into your routine, check out this reel to make sure you’re performing them correctly.

Here are the steps on how to perform a front squat:

- Stance at shoulder width
- Neutral spine maintained
- Hips release down and back
- Knees over track over toes
- Front rack bar across clavicles
- Hands outside of shoulders
- Arms parallel with the floor

This may be an exercise you’ve been doing in your routine for a while, but it’s always a good idea to make sure you’re doing it safely.

P.S. Our last reel covered the importance of hip mobility and provides two exercises that are great warm-ups for the front squat!

Let’s talk about your hips, specifically their m Let’s talk about your hips, specifically their mobility! Did you know that banded hip mobilizations are useful for a pre or post workout to prime the hip for squats, deadlift, olympic lifting or even plyometric exercises? 

Even if you don’t do these types of exercises, banded hip mobilizations are great ways to help with hip tightness! 

Here are examples of two hip mobility exercises to try: 

Exercise 1:

Anchor band to stable object
Move band as deep into hip as possible
Move away from band to gain tension
Move hip into internal and external rotation while maintaining tension on the band

Exercise 2
Anchor band to stable object
Move band as deep into hip as possible
Move away from band to get tension
While on knees move into and out of child’s pose
